It's been awhile....again....

Things are still chugging right along! We're in savings mode and have figured out that we should have enough money saved up to begin paperchasing later this Fall! Woo!!! And I plan to paperchase just as fast as I possibly can too. I would love to be DTC by mid-spring 2007 at the absolute latest!! And then I'll cross my fingers for a mid to late spring 2008 referral!! I've hopefully got it timed to coincide with my completion of my degree program! :)

Summer session is just about over. In some ways, summer semesters seem to last longer than the normal spring and fall semesters!! Next semester I will be taking Advanced Decorating and Candies, Yeast Breads 2, and my final math requirement, intermediate algebra. Intermediate algebra scares the ever-loving crap out of me, but I did alright in both Basic Math and Basic Algebra...so hopefully I'll be alright...Just pray for me...lol!

I plan to officially begin some work on Dorissa's room next month, before I go back to school for the Fall. We're gutting Matthew's office to turn it into her bedroom. His office will be moved to another part of the house. We plan to turn that area into an office/study/workout room. But for Dorissa's room, we'll be yanking out the old carpet and laying parquet flooring instead. When Matthew took over the room for his office, it was painted a dark brown...so I'll be painting this room too! At least need to put on a primer coat so that the brown can be painted a lighter color! I can't wait to start working on her room!!

Last week was a hard week to get through. A good friend of mine lost her 8 month old baby girl. I believe it was SIDS related...it was sudden and very sad. Services for the little one were last week. It was a difficult week for me, but I know that her mommy, daddy, and big brother, as well as her extended family, will be reeling for a long time to come.
